Sustainable Procurement Bill

The Scottish Government is proposing to consult on a new Sustainable Procurement Bill in order to establish a national legislative framework for sustainable public procurement that supports Scotland's economic growth by delivering community benefits, supporting innovation, demonstrating environmental considerations and promoting public procurement processes and systems which are transparent, streamlined, standardised, proportionate and business-friendly.

The consultation is due to take place from Summer 2012.
