The European Union aims to have 100% broadband coverage by 2013, and to increase coverage bandwidth to 30 Mbps for all Europeans by 2020 with 50% or more of European households subscribing to Internet connections above 100 Mbps.
UK policy is now set out in the Government’s National Infrastructure Plan and the National Broadband Strategy - to create community hubs which will act as central digital points in each community, with high speed connections to the nearest exchange. [/cc_full_width_col]
